To celebrate his return Jay has talked us through one of his favourite dos of the moment: the Updated Chignon. An easy-to-create 'do; the Updated Chignon is simple and sophisticated and perfect for an evening event. Jay, who has worked with many of the Fashion Week teams and styles many a celebrity, says that chic, sleek looks are set to be big this Autumn / Winter.
Here's Jay's 'HOW TO':
- prep the hair with a volumising spray
- dry it thoroughly
- use a 'Marcel tong' to tong the hair one way, and then back again so that it flicks back on itself. Do every section exactly the same
- Once the whole head is tonged, brush out the hair & pull it into a high, tight ponytail right on top of the head
- brush out the ponytail and tie it in into a knot as you would a piece of string. Pin it ET VOILA!
